Introducing the 3 Lib Dem Candidates for Sudell ward. Polling day is Thursday June 4 and you have 3 votes.
Paul Browne Paul is Darwen's most experience Councillor with over 25 years service. He was Mayor in 1993-4. He has his own aerial and satellite business. He has been Chair of Planning, a member of the Fire Authority, a Governor at St. James' for 37 years, President of Darwen Subscription Bowling Club. Paul was born and lives in the ward - a 100% Darrener. Kevin Connor Kevin is another experienced councillor, having been on Blackburn with Darwen for 8 years. He played a prominent part in the campaign to bring back weekly bin collections and introduce Gated Back Streets (see photo). Kevin was born in Darwen and lives in the Ward and has worked at Lucite (ICI) for 25 years. He has been a Parliamentary candidate for Rossendale & Darwen and is currently Chair of the Lib Dems. Roy Davies Roy is another councillor with bags of experience. He has been on Blackburn with Darwen Council for the past 6 years and has played a prominent part in campaigning for improvement to the Health Service as Chair of Health Scrutiny. He is a member of the Darwen Neighbourhood Board and has campaigned for improvements to the Olive Lane Play Area. Roy has also actively campaigned for Sudell to have the first gated back streets in the Borough.
